LKQ Europe is building on an exciting and challenging growth path in its digital development. Being part of LKQ Corporation, the company is number one in the automotive aftermarket industry. The company is transitioning into harmonization of different subsidiaries into ONE LKQ organization. This requires alignment and standardisation. IT is organised globally and regionally. Globally IT is organised into functional and regional teams split within North America and Europe. The European functional teams are defined as: IT Service Desk, IT Infrastructure Management, IT security (which align with the global IT strategic planning & governance function), business relationship management, analytics & business intelligence, enterprise application management, customer application management and IT innovation and service center (ISC) (which report to the European director of IT). The customer application management team is directed by the European Director of Customer Application Management and is responsible for the customer facing applications.

We are currently looking for a Product Owner for our Learning Management System. In this role, you will be a leader for defining the roadmap of the LMS system that enables continued learning for the automotive professionals in the various markets in which LKQ operates and supports. You will be mandated for assessing and prioritizing requests and suggestions of new digital learning offerings for integration with the LMS system. Also for coordinating incoming requests from the central group of LKQ Europe as well as the European entities for additional capabilities on the learning platform. Next to this, you will be responsible for articulating and following up on all needed development and IT activities to execute on the roadmap, and you will be acting as a single point of contact for the status and the developments around the LMS system in Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Being the single point of contact between all our European businesses and the LMS system for enhancements/requests.
  • Investigating cost of developments with the team and understanding the perceived value each request may bring.
  • Based on perceived value, creating and managing a roadmap, considering development required form an IT perspective, as well as maturity of local market and what can work best, bringing the most value.
  • Working with a team of developers located in Sweden & Sri Lanka.
  • Following up and monitoring team capacity, velocity and comparing it to the prioritised roadmap to enable high level planning in cooperation with global and local project managers.
  • Starting/stopping and preparing sprints, according to priorities in each sprint, balancing high level roadmap and country specific requests (using Jira).
  • Day to day answering of questions raised by developers.
  • Following up of all bugs reported from all markets, from initial reporting to end fix and deployment.
  • Aligning/updating with individual countries on progress/timescales
  • Leading, planning and executing the User Acceptance Tests (UAT) of all releases.
  • Owning the relationship with digital content providers, including understanding what content there currently is versus what is available, across all European suppliers.
  • Looking at opportunities to grow online content.
  • Keeping track of development between our LMS and suppliers to ensure that content is automated (APIs).
  • Helping out, if needed, for resolution of local support issues, acting as filter for what reached the development team and what needs to be addressed elsewhere.
  • Advising LMS administrators locally per country on the structure, the required reporting and content performance checks.
  • Enabling sharing of best practices between markets depending on status.
  • Keeping an eye on the alignment between LMS and LKQ Academy, including digital learning requirements, physical training and working methodologies in LMS.
  • Training of local teams in how to set up / use the LMS and ongoing support.
  • KEY STAKEHOLDERS:

    • Business representatives from global as well as local LKQ operations.
    • Project Managers, Program Managers, Architects, Developers, Testers, Business Analysts, etc.

    KEY AND DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Working experience on transactional/E-commerce/Web projects, as Product Owner.
    • Familiarity with learning management systems is a strong asset.
    • Being comfortable to interact and manage different levels of stakeholders with sometimes conflicting priorities.
    • Team player, supportive and thriving in iterative/agile environment with shifting priorities and frequently changing situations.

    LKQ Europe is building on an exciting and challenging growth path in its digital development. Being part of LKQ Corporation, the company is number one in the automotive aftermarket industry. LKQ is transitioning from several acquired subsidiaries towards one LKQ within Europe. This requires alignment and standardisation. IT is organised globally and regionally. Globally IT is organised into functional and regional teams split within North America and Europe. The European functional teams are defined as: IT Service Desk, IT Infrastructure Management, IT security (which align with the global IT strategic planning & governance function), business relationship management, analytics & business intelligence, enterprise application management, customer application management and IT innovation and service centre (ISC) (which report to the European director of IT).
    The customer application management team is directed by the European director of customer application management and is responsible for the customer facing applications.
    In order to further professionalize our digital position, we are currently looking for a Head of Engineering. In this role, you will lead the customer applications technical teams (multidisciplinary, E2E, QA) (contracted & outsourced development teams) and support them in building products and core elements of the platform.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Defining development framework
    Giving input for (the revision of) the relevant iterative development frameworks for coding and building, in order to safeguard the functionality of the customer applications, in close collaboration with the Centre of digital Excellence.

    Coordinating requirement definitions
    Being supported and advised in defining a clear problem definition/question for development, based on insight into the (im)possibilities of the customer applications

    Coordinating development
    Ensuring that the match between availability of development teams and the need for capacity is achieved, in order to realising customer application development, for customer applications to be defined, designed and developed in line with the requirement/ user story definition.

    Agile release train
    Managing the Test teams effectively on capabilities built and execution. Ensuring that the need for information and/or support is timely recognised and relevant stakeholders are informed/instructed to act. Responsible to enable a CI/CD landscape

    Regional alignment
    Aligning the IT development activities and methodologies with the European IT teams and ensuring they are supported by the regional IT business partners and the local IT services. Making sure that experiences and best practices are shared and adopted within the different teams

    Leadership and people management
    Managing the development teams (recruitment, selection, workload, budget), in line with the short- and long-term need for development capacity and quality.     ROLE OVERVIEW

    Working closely with the 5 regions and 20 countries across Europe, the Category Pricing Manager is responsible for driving the category pricing strategy and new initiatives, harmonizing pricing processes, optimizing price positions, implementing price corridors, and driving margin improvement. Furthermore, this role will be a key contributor to achieving our growth and profitability goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implementing the pricing strategy for the assigned categories and collaborating with product management, marketing and regional pricing heads
    • Researching and preparing information on key developments with regards to performance, market prices, margins and trends for senior management presentations
    • Leading the strategic margin performance review for the respective categories
    • Translating positioning into optimized prices per brand, group and product category
    • Ensuring timely implementation of price revisions to safeguard margin targets and drive margin improvement initiatives
    • Reviewing and tracking regional adherence to product positioning and defined corridors
    • Challenging purchase prices relative to margins
    • Serving as the point of contact for the category relating to standard reports, market benchmarking, competitiveness and initiatives

    KEY AND DESIRED SKILLS:

    • 5+ years pricing and revenue management experience within automotive after-market, industrial components, spare parts or related industries

    • Experience in managing large number of SKUs (200k+) in a multi-national environment
